History

Green Hills Memorial Park opened its gates in 1948 to serve the needs of a growing post-World War II community in the San Pedro/Peninsula area. The existing smaller cemeteries in the local area were not adequate to meet the community’s needs for memorial interment property. One hundred and twenty acres were acquired by a partnership of local businessmen with the goal of transforming the parcel into a worthy location for the memorialization of deceased loved ones. www.greenhillsmemorial.com
